Tapestry will celebrate is founding February 14-17 with fun activities for students and a special giving campaign, “$8 for 8, Let’s Make it Great!” Students are encouraged to contribute $8, a dollar for each year of Tapestry’s existence. Donor names will be entered in a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card (for both middle and high school), and the grade-level with the most participation for this giving campaign and the Annual Fund will be able to style Dr. Tyson’s hair at the end of the year.
The theme for Founders Week, “We Are Tapestry,” focuses on the many ways in which Tapestry fosters individuality, inclusion, equity, and diversity while advancing its mission. Students and teachers will be able to participate in a video and picture campaign to describe how they flourish at Tapestry.
On Monday, students are encouraged to write “love letters” to Tapestry to show their appreciation, and on Friday, there will be a “Midday Soiree” during the middle and high school lunches. Other activities include a door decorating contest and a special alumni guest speaker.
