Teona Ducre is the High School Dean of Students and PE Support Teacher. Ms. Ducre (known by students as Ms. D) relocated from New Mexico, where she co-developed the state’s first Autism specific program with a focus on inclusion and social skills for high school students. She holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism and MS in Special Education with an emphasis on Severe and Profound Disabilities.
Ms. D is a recent pancreatic cancer survivor and has become a strong advocate for pancreatic cancer by speaking, interviewing and appearing at events locally and nationally to create awareness of the disease. When she is not teaching our advocating, she travels, writes and enjoys photography. She is an avid sports fan and attends all of her son’s and daughter’s sporting events. A little known fact about Ms. D is she loves game shows and hopes to someday be on Family Feud.
