Tonna Harris-Bosselmann

Believes that access to quality education is a fundamental human right. She also believes in the power of education to transform society. Her vision is for Tapestry to become a world-class school that is a model of best inclusive practices. Tonna is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education in School Improvement at the University of West Georgia. She has twenty years of experience in the field of education and working with non-profits, having taught at Georgia State University, Gainesville State College (GSC) and presently at the University of North Georgia.  At GSC, she earned tenure and worked as Assistant Professor and ESL Program Coordinator for six years.  In addition to her teaching and administrative duties, Tonna was the also Director for Steps-to-College, a highly-esteemed summer bridge program for middle and high school students from all over northeast GA. Tonna has presented extensively on various topics, including differentiating in the multi-level classroom, student advocacy, and the socio-political issues facing marginalized populations.  Tonna and her husband Moritz Bosselmann are the parents of two wonderful boys, one neurotypical and one on the autism spectrum.
