Christina Gonzalez is the Special Education Coordinator at Tapestry. She served as the Academic Support Specialist for the past two years.
Christina is a certified special education teacher who obtained her Master’s Degree in Administration and School Leadership from Concordia University of Chicago in 2012. Prior to serving in her current role, Christina spent many of her early teaching years in self-contained classrooms, teaching students on the autism spectrum. After relocating to Atlanta in 2015, she co-taught at both the middle school and high school levels, where she developed a deep understanding of the role that special educators play in the co-taught classroom.
Christina currently leads the special education department by working directly with the special ed teaching staff, while indirectly supporting Tapestry’s students and families. Christina is committed to establishing a fluid learning environment by leading teachers in the implementation of best practice supports and inclusive strategies in the co-taught classroom.
